All residents of Weatherstone are required to register their automobiles with the cluster. This process allows the Board and all homeowners to enforce the cluster parking regulations. If you are a resident and currently do not have a parking permit sticker displayed on your car, please contact a member of the Board immediately and provide the following information:

Name, address, car make/model, car color, and license plate number.

Weatherstone properties are governed by both the Reston Association covenants and the Weatherstone covenants, regulations, and bylaws. When you purchased your home in Weatherstone, you agreed to abide by the property covenants and maintain the design standards. The purpose of these covenants is to maintain the architectural compatibility and maintain a visual and physical harmony of style, proportion, color and material. Before you make ANY change to the external appearance of your home, you must consult the Reston Association (RA) and the Weatherstone Association to see if you must have Design Review Board approval for your project. The board maintains a library of helpful RA documents to assist you in completing your project quickly and economically. Please do not start an exterior project without checking with the board -- you could waste a lot of money in undoing what you've done it it doesn't comply with the applicable covenants. Currently, the Weatherstone Association has minimal architectural guidelines and those not specifically stated are covered under the RA covenants.

• Garbage is picked up every Monday and Thursday, including holidays unless otherwise indicated on the web site and mailbox postings. Holidays on which trash and recyclables are not picked up include New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
• Recyclable materials are picked up only on Mondays. You can mix your recyclable materials together.
• Garbage and Recyclables are handled by AAA Recycling and Trash Removal Service. Our association contact there is Yvonne Montgomery who can be reach at 703-803-1372 between 0800 and 1630 Monday through Friday. The Customer Service department can be reached at 703-818-8222 between 0700 and 1700 Monday through Friday and between 0800 and 1200 Saturday. If you would like to have an AAA garbage can, please contact them as they will provide it for free as part of our contract.
• Mail can be posted by placing it in the back of the mailbox. The mailman should be able to see that it is not postmarked and therefore take it away.
• The cluster board posts notices to the community by updating the web page, and by placing notices on each of the mailboxes. The board no longer posts notices at each resident's home.

Fees are currently $960.00 per year or $245.00 quarterly ($240.00 fee plus $5.00 quarterly payment fee), due January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Weatherstone Cluster Association relies heavily on your prompt payment so that it can meet its obligations in a timely manner. All dues must be paid by the 15th of those months in order to avoid a $30.00 late fee. Any fees which are two quarters or more in arrears are sent the Cluster's attorney for collection.

To the best of our knowledge, the Weatherstone Cluster Association has the lowest fees of any homeowner's association of its size in Reston. This is largely due to the fact that we are self-managed.

A reserve account exists for the future replacement/repair of our street, tot-lot, sidewalks, infrastructure (e.g., storm drains), and retaining wall. All other expenses are paid from our regular funds. There are no funds to paint, re-stain or repair roofs of individual units. These are the responsibility of individual homeowners.
